No matter how intense the drug alcohol treatment may be, unless the person is willing to change and determined to turn his/her back away from the tempting and devilish treat of drugs and alcohol, all the efforts of treating the addiction would be put to waste.

No one can make anyone change. The person, addict, or otherwise needs to want to change how their life is being lived.
